Question which motherboard z170 or b250m?

My friend has 2 motherboards and he wants to choose between them he has the maximus vii z170 and the gigabyte b250m s2h

That's not even a close call. The Hero VIII, and it IS VIII, not VII, if it's a Z170 Hero board, is a far better board than the S2H even considering it being an older chipset. No question, keep the Hero.

In fact, that is the exact board I'm using with the system I'm typing this on now and it's an excellent motherboard.
