Hi. I bought a really, really cheap quality network adapter a while back which is this...

http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/productsView.aspx?Langid=1&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&ProdID=228

And now I want to upgrade because I don't think thats getting the most out of my network, I've been looking at this network adapter...

http://www.amazon.ca/TP-Link-TL-WN722N-Wireless-Adapter-Detachable/dp/B002WBX9C6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

But I don't know if I should just stick with the one I have now or buy this new one, or keep looking for another. Thanks 😀

Only matters if your router also has the same features. If your router does not support the more advanced things on a new card it will just slow down to the older options.

Then again it depends what you are trying to accomplish. You have to remember even the older wireless is many times faster than most peoples internet. Even if you were to buy the newest stuff on the market which is suppose to run at 1.3g it will still only surf the internet at whatever you paid for which could be 700k if you live where only old style DSL is available.

The only time you can actually use high speed wireless is for those application like video streaming or disk storage that is going between devices WITHIN your house.
