story is , i got used lenovo y520 (i5-7300hq + Gtx1050)
and just found out that it is only support for m.2 nvme.
(there's a lot mentioned in local forums that it only support NVMEand you cant use m.2 sata ssd on it)

i aimed for 240-256GB or so. and i found some choices : cheapest / moderate / a bit expensive
( converted local price THB to USD )

1.(used possibly) intel 600p 256GB m.2 nvme for like for 72$ with warranty end in 12/2021.
2.(new) WD Black 250GB for 93$ 5y.
3.(new) Plextor 256 GB (PX-256M9PeGN) for 113$ 5y.
this is my choices ,within price-range

my main use is
-modeling 'sketchup'
-gaming
-light render? (nothing to fancy)
-light photo-editing DSLR raw and stuff
-light video editing. (less than 10min videos 720p-FHD max)

planned to use one of m.2 nvme above with 5400rpm.

thanks.

Solution
i do go with (new) Plextor M9Pe (GN) NVME 256GB
from local store they bundled it with FarCry 5, for the prices / pros vs cons in day to day use this is a little bit overkill m.2 nvme and game bundle is a plus.
