PCPartPicker rated my machine as 330W with Graphics Cards or 190W without Graphics card so I was thinking to get a PSU that's around 450W. Right now I can buy from Amazon. I can see that there are many deals so up to 600W their price range is the same, so I came up with the following list:

**If the SeaSonic S12iii was in stock I'd probably choose it, but it's not.. T_T

1) EVGA 450 BR:
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-100-BR-...r_1_4?keywords=psu&qid=1575733627&sr=8-4&th=1

2) Thermaltake Smart 500W or 600W (Almsot same price):
https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-...ref=sr_1_1?keywords=psu&qid=1575733627&sr=8-1

3) Best seller on Amazon right now - EVGA 500 W1:
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-WHITE-W...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=BB4KMXFYKJF2G75JET6A

4) Corsair CX450:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B72VXE6/ref=psdc_1161760_t1_B00H33SFJU

5) A SeaSonic option:
SeaSonic 500W 80+ Bronze SS-500ET

Or anything else at this price range?
Thanks

Alright then I'm gonna have to choose soon, meanwhile you can offer other psus, maybe there are going to be deals anytime soon

And I have another list from another seller, please help me decide whether there is a psu that can handle my system reliably compared to the original list:
-Antec Atom V450
-Antec Atom V550
-Antec BP450S
-Antec VALUE POWER VP500P
-SeaSonic SS-400ET

Just remember I'm not looking for the top of the line psus, otherwise I wouldn't be listing these relatively cheap PSUS, I just want it to be reliable for some time and not fry my pc (I provided only branded psus)

The only one there i would look at is thr antec vp, but id still lean towards a corsair cx

I can get the VP500P locally for 55$ or the Corsair CX450 modular for 58$ inc. shipping. the price difference is not what bothers me, it's just that when I buy locally I can get warranty. I don't live in the US so I'm not sure it's a good idea to get a PSU from abroad.
So the battle is between these now, help me choose, with warranty in mind, and with my relatively basic specs of Ryzen 2200G and R9 270:

  • Antec VP500P locally for 55$ locally (easier with warranty)
  • Corsair CX450 modular for 58$ (The non-modular you advised me is out of stock) from Amazon
  • Corsair CX550 non-modular for 70$ from Amazon
  • Corsair CX650 non-modular for 70$ (What? Same price? lol) from Amazon

Don't get an Antec I had one making sparks without even maxing it.
Get the Corsair CX550 above especially if you are planning on overclocking.

Seasonic high end is good, I have a 1200W one, but they are expensive. Their low end are bad.
Best budget power supply is Corsair.

What's going on guys I just saw this post from Tom's Hardware forum:
https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/corsair-cx430-or-corsair-vs450.2440649/

They say CX series is VERY LOW quality and that I should get the EVGA?! Ah it's one of those times I should've simply ordered and let it be, now I have no idea what to choose

It is an ok PSU for its price but Corsair TX series are much better if your budget allows it.
The CX550 has a much stronger 12V rail than the EVGA 450W.

Notice the age of that thread is 5 years old. A lot has changed to the Corsair CX lineup in the past 5 years.

The old CX430w units were of poor quality. These can be identified by the green lettering on the label.

The newer CX450w units are completely different and far superior quality. These can be identified by grey lettering on the label.

Guys since I haven't purchased the PSU yet, and from some reason it's really fun to get to know this world of hardware and all the available brands / components, I just came across this PSU - be Quiet! Pure Power 11:
https://www.amazon.com/quiet-Pure-Power-BN626-Supply/dp/B07PL3LH4P/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=be+Quiet!+Pure+Power+11&qid=1575925897&sr=8-1&th=1

Also it seem to have 2 models: BN626 and BN628 and both are called "gold" - what's the difference?

Btw I found this PSU on this cool TIER-sorted list:
https://www.gamingscan.com/psu-hierarchy/

So which one would you prefer? The Corsair or this Be Quiet (As the word "quiet" always catches the eyes 👀)

Thermaltake Smart RGB 80+ White are not the worst units tbh they use a mix of 1 main capacitor i believe is nichicon is the main and the rest is teapo and for some reason its not rated as a bronze unit

https://www.eteknix.com/thermaltake-power-supply-500w-review

the thermaltake lite units though are garbage.

That's the first PSU I suggested and they told me to stay away from it (Unless the RGB version of the SMART is higher quality than the non-RGB SMART?)

@Zizo007 and @NightHawkRMX - your thoughts? (5 years warranty as well :) )

the rgb one is the newer model and better venting and is more cleaner then the originals

the orginal smart were very packed together inside

its a redesign with some improvements which will make all the difference

heres the new smart 2018

Meh. It's a bit of an upgrade from the old hec series, but the recent White Smarts still appear to be mostly be a slightly updated Shenzhen-made, group-regulated PSU, just not as ancient as the previous ones. If you don't look at the coils, you can see it in the mediocre +12V.

Rather unusually lazy eTeknix review. They have all the right equipment, but they glossed over important things - little effort to identify the capacitors, no crossload testing, no component analysis. That they didn't even mention it's quite obviously a group-regulated PSU and not something modern is really skipping important information. I
