Hello, this is my first post, so apologies if there is some mistake.

I have a laptop MSI Bravo 15 A4DDR with 8 GB DDR4 and I want to upgrade it.

I have searched and found these three RAM's are accesible to me and I don't know which is better for video editing/casual games/video playing:
  • Crucial CT16G4SFRA32A (16 GB)
  • Kingston CP432SS8/16 (16 GB)
  • Kingston KVR32S22S8/16 (16 GB)
If you also explain the differences, I will be grateful.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

The 3 of them have identical speeds as well as latencies, you're good to pick either of them. The laptop hjas 2xram slots, so I'd advise buying 2 sticks of either brand or perhaps look for a 2x16GB DDR4-3200MHz SO-DIMM ram kit.

On a side note, make sure you're on the latest BIOS version prior to performing your ram upgrade.

All are very similar - DDR4 3200mhz CL22 SODIMM modules.
Get 2x8GB or 2x16GB kit instead of single module.

Thank you both for your fast answers!!!

Yes, I plan to sell the 8 GB stick and buy 2.

Is there any differences between buying the same two RAM on the same website instead of searching for an item that says x2? I mean, in the shopping cart buying two items (same product) instead of buying one item (x2)?

On the other side, there is no problem with the memories being non-ECC? I don't care if the performance downgrades 2%, but I don't want future problems with them.

And last, @Lutfij said 'make sure you're on the latest BIOS version prior to performing your ram upgrade': may I know why? And how to upgrade the BIOS version.

I checked msinfo32 and found that BIOS version is E16WKAMS.110, 29/10/2020

However, in the MSI page: https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Bravo-15/support?sub_product=Bravo-15-A4DDR#bios it does not appear to be a newer version 😵

Thank you
If you buy a kit you know the sticks are matched.

If you buy 2 sticks it becomes a maybe.

Yes. There is a difference.
Ram kit is tested for working together.
Separate modules are not tested for that and you can get ram compatibility issues.

ECC/buffered ram is for servers. Laptops and desktops can not use server ram.
