Which of these builds is better for ARK: Survival Evolved?

Gonna be getting my first gaming PC and I was wondering which one of these builds would be better to play ARK with. I'm gonna be using a few mods (S+, Platforms+, etc) but nothing too wild. I'm hoping to be able to play it on at least High graphics with decent frames. The Devs are finally working on optimizations so hopefully it'll run a lot better soon. Not sure if it matters but for now I'm only going to be doing Single Player on The Island or the Scorched Earth map.

Without a doubt, the i7-7700 because of the faster core speed. Ark doesn't use much in the way of threads.

if you are a gamer you only need an i5 processor, it has 4 cores and 4 threads the 8 threads of a hyperthread are for multi taking. i play players unknown battlegrounds, the division, ghost recon wildlands, diablo 3, path of exile and tomb raider and witcher 3 between 90 and 120 frames per second, when the game allows with i5 6600k 3.5ghz oc to 4..38 ghz deepcool captain 240 on a msi z170a m7 mobo and an asus strix 480x8 with 16 gb gskill ripjaws ram and benq xl2411 monitor. gskilll 780r ripjaws keyboard and mouse.
