Which of these builds will give the best performance?

Planning on gaming and some video editing with Sony Vegas. Originally, my choice was an Intel build but following the GPU price increase, I decided to save money by going with an AMD build (CPU, Motherboard) and using the spare money to buy a GTX 1080.

Now that the GTX 1070 is much more affordable, I must make a choice: AMD or Intel? The computer is mainly for gaming at 1080p 144hz, playing games like Warhammer Total War at 60+ FPS at High-Ultra quality.

Those are good builds. I would tell you to go with the AMD build. I have taken your build and used it to create something similar. I'm not telling you to go with my build over yours but you can definitely use mine as a reference guide of sorts for understanding how to get more bang for your buck. I chose a GTX 1070 for you because you said you are gaming at 1080p and doing some light video work and the 1070 is perfect for that. Since you are not overclocking I chose a more basic motherboard to save you some money. Overall I gave you more storage, a better power supply and a better processor for about the same price.
