Which of these display set-ups should I get? Three Swifts or BenQs?

I am trying to decide between the following. I would only be gaming on the primary monitor. Other two would be for productivity.

1). Three 27" 1440p monitors but two of them down-sampled to 1080p (ROG Swift)

2). Three 24" 1080p monitors (BenQ XL2420G)

No matter which option, I want three of the same monitor because of uniformity. I really want the three Swifts, but I am worried about being able to run all three even down-sampled on two of them (Video Card(s): Dual-SLI EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0). In addition, I would like to have the 27" of real estate for each monitor.

Any advice?

Thank you!

Hi,
I find quite strange to hear about productivity on TN panel monitors.
Talking gaming-wise, both are great monitors, if you are using only 1 of them (not in surround option), you can go for the asus on full resolution, but please don't do downsample to 1920x1080, you'll get terrible image distortion.

If you have to keep 1920x1080 for some kind of productivity issue, go for benq, or you'll lose your eyes.

if you don't have any problem going for the full 1440p, go for asus. Your graphic cards setup should support it without any problem.

So even if I leave the three Swifts on full res, if I am only gaming on the primary, I should still get good frame rates? (between 40-60)? Thanks!

with 2 GTX 980 SLI setup you'll have no issue with any game at 2560x1440 with ultra quality.
You'll also benefit from G-Sync, and you'll go over 60 FPS, since that monitor has 144Hz refresh rate.

I run a 2 sli GTX 970 on 3 monitor, playing every kind of games, and never under 60 FPS, so you can go safe with one of those ;)

Cheers!
