this is a 24 inch but it has 2ms response which will not suffer a ghosting issue like the 5ms which you linked it up , also this screen has a very nice price.

Hmm that stand looks rubbish. The Dell has a great stand. I'm torn between the ultra sharp and this one now...

I've heard IPS is better for photograph work and TN for gaming, but really is it that drastic? I'm using a TN with a 18ms response time now and have been for years and i can't say i've even noticed "ghosting" or such.

The difference between 2ms to about 15ms is pretty much unnoticeable, and just marketing nonsense.

Ghosting can happen on any monitor, whether due to a bad screen or just overall bad build.

I have the 24 inch version of the asus monitor line that you linked (VS), and i think they are great. There were a lot of horror story reviews, but i bought 3 of them and experienced no problems at all. No dead pixels/ghosting or anything else.

IPS are really nice pictures, but when gaming or fast video segments it just seems.. Off. You will get used to it after awhile though, and wont notice a difference. I would recommend going to a store with an IPS monitor and looking at it for yourself.
