Both have around the same price tag,

But I want to know which is better for listening to audio like youtube videos, music, games.

Both have their design strengths and weaknesses. If I were to buy either of the two, then I'd get the Beyerdynamic. What is your sound card, mind you?

The DT990 is BRIGHT. As in it can hurt your ears bright. I find the entire DT770, 880 and 990 line too bright but the 990 is by far the worst of the bunch. The DT770 is the least bright.

The M50X has bloated bass that bleeds into the mids, uneaven highs, a small soundstage and they're uncomfortable. The M40X is better and cheaper but it's on ear.

It's pretty good but it's on ear and can be uncomfortable for long use.

Sennheiser HD558, 598 or 599 available in your price range?

AKG K553 or AKG 371?

ATH WS1100iS?

Philips Fidelio X2?

All the Sennheiser options you gave me are too expensive,
The AKG options I don't like the look of
ATH I kind of like.
The Philips headphones I like the most but there out of my budget.
