Which one for Xmas?

Hey all,

I am debating on what to ask for Christmas, either an Radeon 8500 or a Geforce 3 (TI???). Any ideas on what drivers will be like then?

256 DDR PC2100 RAM
ECS K7S5A
ATI Rage 128

Normally I would say get a Ti500, but since you are asking for christmas people might blow it and get you a Ti200...ask for the 8500, no confusion.

since you currently have an ati card in your comp...i'd say stick with ati.

Get Ti500- it's sweet. Plus, if you ever feel teh urge to get 2x performance in Opegl, u can turn it into Quadro DCC.

Well this is a debate that still contiues to go out. Both cards are great pieces of kit, at the top of there field. One Cost 2x as much as the other. Case Dismissed !

If you choose a geforce just make sure that they understand that it has to be Ti500 !!!

If you get a Raddeon make sure that it is an ATI manufactured card, and also that its not the OEM. Also see if you can get another pressie (If you budget is the Ti500 you have only speant half of it)
