Which one Is better between ddr3 and ddr3l?

I want to know that what is DDR3L . and what is the difference between DDR3 and DDR3L for laptop and which one is better for laptop.

DDR3L is the JEDEC specification for 1.35v modules.

Depend on what the manufacturer recommends DDR3L, in addition to lower voltage may run with looser advanced timings needed to support the lower voltage

This is addressed in detail in my tutorial at the top of this forum.

DDR3 and DDR3L are identical. They difference between them is that DDR3L chips have passed more stringent quality tests which allow them to operate at a lower supply voltage (1.35 volts) rather than DDR3 (1.5 volts). This reduces heat and extends battery life (albeit not by much).

By design, all DDR3L modules are fully backwards compatible with DDR3. However, DDR3 modules are not necessarily forwards compatible with DDR3L.

Some laptops require DDR3L and will not work if a DDR3 module is inserted. Check the manual for more information.
