hi, as u can see from the title i want to buy M.2 NVme SSD for my PC and i dont know which one to choose:
A. Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250 gb for 163$
or
B. Samsung 980 Pro 250 gb for 173$

that 10$ difference is almost nothing for me :D
my spec:
MB: Asus B450m-a
ram: 2*8gb 360Mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX
cpu: Ryzen 3400g
psu: 330w green
gpu: none

Solution
i googled it, some websites show that 970 evo plus is too much better and some websites say that 980 is an upgrade over 970 series like 970 evo plus, idk which one is correct

edit: watched a video, now i think 970 evo plus is surely better
The 970 Pro is better because its MLC. These 2 are both TLC. The 970 Evo Plus has 96 layers of NAND whereas the 980 Pro has 126 layers being the successor. It also has double the speed, which is not relevant for your current build but can be useful when you upgrade to future gen. Thats about it as far as the differences are concerned. They are both fantastic otherwise and you can't go wrong with either. The 980 (non Pro) on the other hand lacks the DRAM cache and hence not on par with those 2.

What country do you live in that it cost that much?

Assuming this is the correct link for youe motherboard:

The M.2 port on that is only PCIe 3.0.
The 980 Pro drive is PCIe 4.0.

Any extra money spent on the 970 vs something else is simply wasted money.

The 980 (not Pro) is just the next iteration of the 960/970 line.

I'd probably go with the 970 EVO Plus.

In actual use, you would see zero user facing difference.
Which one is less expensive? Do that one.
