hi
i am confused between 2 motherboards, out of the whole list i have come to 2.
1) asus maximus iv extreme z.
2) gigabyte z68x-ud7-b3.

please help me choose between these. and i was wondering does the maximus iv extreme-z support graphic cards in 16x,16x when running in sli or c.f.
thanks.

"Next to that, the Maximus IV Extreme-Z offers something that a whole lot of you really like, they added the NVIDIA NF200 bridge chip which adds extra PCIe lanes. Meaning that if you put two x16 lanes PCIe graphics cards into the system they actually work mechanically at 16x:16x and not 8x:8x. Whether or not you'd ever notice the difference in speed remains open for discussion, as we doubt it."

I'd go for the Maximum though out of the 2....
Why?? Well, Asus does build really good quality High End Boards, and this is like everyone's wet dream.
All the goodies , plus the ROG Tag....
If I were into gaming to that extent, this is, one of the best boards money can buy.

On the other hand the UD7 is giving you 2@16x and another 2@8x.....
I wonder why is the UD7 deactivated on Newegg.
It seems to the better of the 2 mobos you've specified with some really tough competition.
But, I must say, I trust Asus More than I trust Gigabyte that's why I'd personally go for the Asus one even though I might like the UD7 more.
