Best regards for everyone i'm looking to buy a 4070 graphic card for my budget and i'm between Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 WindForce OC or MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Gaming Trio. Which one is better or is there a better option you would suggest for the price? Thank you in advance.

Seconded. There's no practical difference.
Maybe one has a reportedly better warranty reputation in your area? Then again, they've all been responsible for lousy experiences at one point or another; sometimes folks will just draw the short stick.
But yes, no practical difference between those cards.

Looking at some reviews to see if I could confirm any significant performance differences, I did noticing something: The Gigabyte card uses a regular 8-pin PEG connector (see the right image in the middle row: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N4070WF3OC-12GD/gallery#gallery), while the MSI card uses a 12VHPwr connector.

I would recommend the Gigabyte card if only to avoid the cabling headache.
Sorry, what do you mean with cabling headache? I got a MSI MPG A850G power supply. Also whic is better between MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Gaming X Trio and MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ventus 3X?

I made the assumption you have a pre-ATX 3.0 PSU, which lacks a 12VHPwr connector. But it looks like yours has one.

And also the answer still remains: it doesn't really matter from a performance standpoint. To which I'll explain after...

it has higher boost clock frequency you can also achieve this with gigabye too with msi afterburner
If we're talking about the boost clock frequency being advertised on the box, it doesn't matter. Cards will boost as hard as they can, often beyond that clock speed. My card is advertised to go up to 2745MHz, but it'll happily go up to 2950MHz.

Coming from someone who always thought MSI was a 3rd rated best company and the other were of EVGA I'd also say there's no significant difference, but the funnier thing is I would've gone with the ROG 4070 OC Gaming LOL as I love ROG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah you can so yes there is no problem with it. you can any of them too but msi is adverising a little bit higher recomended boost frequency. it could be cause of maybe better thermal design i don't know exactly.

Do not by Gigabyte video cards until they clarify their warranty stance on the PCIe connector breaking or change their design. They have an idiotic retention design and put vital traces near it so if it should crack due to their design you're out of luck and have a dead card that so far they won't cover under warranty.

Also whic is better between MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Gaming X Trio and MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ventus 3X?
The biggest difference between those is typically the cooler quality/design and sometimes fan curve. If the 4070 pulled more power I'd say get the Gaming just to be safe, but it really doesn't so whichever is cheaper is what I'd suggest.

That advertised frequency(2475 vs 2490mhz) doesn't matter, unless something's seriously wrong; those advertised clocks are more of a worse case scenario, when all these cards overclock themselves beyond that, as hotaru.hino already posted.

The difference in core clock between models also doesn't directly correlate to that same change in performance, so I still don't see how/where, "the 4070 Gaming Trio is better than Windforce OC model by 5%".

Hi
I purchased the Gigabyte 4070 Wf Oc for my son's rig and so far it has been a great card,
But I am worried about Gigabyte's Pcb cracking, warranty issue even though with this card there is very little gpu sag.
I added a gpu anti-sag bracket for $25.00
as Precaution.

Of the 4070's Denver Micro Center had at the time of purchase, only 2 brands that had a more fuller backplate, was Gigabyte and Zotac
Hopefully, my decision won't bite me.

Here are the 3DMark Timespy runs on his vs. my 5900x /2080 ti Custom Loop
Both systems running 1440p 165hz monitors.
His has a H150i Elite Capellix on his 5600x with the 4070 stock air cooling.
(Check out his Gpu temp)

The highest wattage I saw was 194 watts in Msi Ab out of all the runs working up his clocks.

My rig

With recent Brand Debacle's
ASUS-GIGABYTE
WHO will be left We Can Trust ????
All we can do is research for what you want and hope there are no reports of issue's after purchase.

Good Luck with your Decision!!!!!!!!
