A WD 80GB 7200rpm ATA100 with 3 years of warrenty
or MAXTOR 80GB 7200rpm ATA133 with 3 years of warrenty as well?

My motherboard does supports ATA133.

The answer could be: whichever is cheaper. But personally speaking I'd always buy WD over Maxtor, unles the price difference is considerable.

I agree with Arkus. Are you sure the maxtor drive has a three year warrenty though? Im sure they only have one year.

even though the MAXTOR cost slightly more I thinking of going on it due to its ATA 133 . I currently have a Maxtor 40GB 7200 ata 133, and it is faster in loading games ( I benched with my friends) than those with ATA 100.
So what do you think ATA 133 doesnt worth it?

Don't think there's much, if any difference between ATA100 and ATA133 though, since only a fraction of the bandwidth is being used on ATA100 anyway. ATA133 is bollocks :).

I prefer WD, have heard a lot of bad stories about maxtor drives.
