MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
OR
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II

1) As compatibility for first motherboard on MSI global site states that it is compatible with YD270XBGM88AF.
Does it mean my model (YD270XBGAFBOX) is incompatible or mine just a boxed version of same processor.
2) Second motherboard's compatibility list (link given above) doesn't include my processor's model (YD270XBGAFBOX). Is my model incompatible with this motherboard ?
OR
It doesn't matter cause both motherboards have AM4 socket for Ryzen 7 2700x ?

Please help. Overly worried about compatibility

PC specs:
Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 2700x (YD270XBGAFBOX)
Memory - HyperX Fury 8GB*2 sticks 3200MHz
PSU - Corsair CV 550
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1660 super 6GB OC edition

Either of those boards will work 'out of the box' with a 2700X processor.

One thing to be concerned about is the memory. 2000 series processors are rated to 2933 memory so trying to get 3200 may not be as easy as just setting XMP and it works. It may need some manual tweaking with timings and voltage to get, or it may not get it at all.

If it's AM4, it should run fine. That board supports all the way up to a 3950X out of the box. The model you have is the boxed CPU that is sold at retail.
So second motherboard ( tomahawk max II) will support my processor (though it is not listed under supported CPU on MSI official site, the closest supported one is Ryzen 2700x pro).
Should I go with this motherboard?
