The 1st and 2nd monitors are TN displays with 60hz refresh rate. They aren't exactly gaming monitors, though their low response times should result in slightly less ghosting, though at 60hz, that may not matter much.

The Dell is an IPS display, which would have better color production and viewing angles, but it is also only 21.5" in size.

What is your primary purpose for this monitor? I'd likely choose the 24" BenQ, if nothing else, for the extra size, but then the Del has better color.

Mainly I will be gaming on this monitor with some web browsing and movies.

Not gaming monitors? How are gaming monitors different?

Gaming monitors are usually defined as monitors with a refresh rate of 120Hz and above, therefore it produces the smoothest game play possible without skipping frames or creating "tearing" associated with lower refresh rate monitors. Typically these monitors are preferred when playing first person shooter games like Call Of Duty and Battlefield due to the fast movement responses required. Slow games such as RPG's like World Of Warcraft, or RTS's like Starcraft do not require very high refresh rates, as the action is a lot slower.

You can find out a list of "gaming" class monitors HERE

Ordered the BenQ GL2450HM 24 inch. Received today. I have used an Lg 17" monitor in the past and now using a 14" laptop. Comparing to both of them this one is quite big and crisp, colors are good. Really nice monitor. Thanks for your suggestions.
