8 GB ddr3 1866mhz 9cas VS 10 gb 1600mhz 11 cas?

UPDATE: I added some details

So I have 4 slots dual channel supported (z97x killer mobo and i5 4690)
I originally have 2 4gb sticks of 1866 ram in the dual channel ram slots (1 and 3).

I was able to find a spare 2 gb 1600 stick so I added that to the spare slot (slot 2 or 4) which made the OS show that my ram is all 1600 so that's why i was trying to choose. between 10gb of 1600 or 8 of 1866

z97 motherboard with i5 4690k, there are 4 slots, 2x4 in dual channel slots and 1x2 (single). I updated the first post so see that

I'd want the 2x4GB at 1866, with the 2GB added and dropping you to 1600/11 you have 8GB in dual and the odd 2GB running in single channel - all at the relatively low CL of 11 (1600/9 is considered entry level) where the 1866/9 is straight dual and turning more actions faster

Thanks, is there any way to make my 2 1866 ram 1866 and not 1600 or must they all be 1600 if I decided to keep the 1600 ram stick? Because I couldn't find that setting in the uefi

Sell the 2 GB module.... I'd venture to guess that by the time you adjusted timings downward to handle it, combined with running the 2GB in single channel mode, performance would be better with the 2 x 1866 than using all 3.
