which one of these laptop is better for the money ?

hello, I am currently in need a new laptop and there these two options that fit my budget, however, when i look at the specs, I noted that one is I7 and another is i5. I know that the I7 is always better but I want to make sure and asks the expert ( which you all are ) about the two so I wouldn't miss anything on this. My goal is to looking for a good laptop that can do video/ image editing and most importantly, light weight. Thanks

I would go with the i7 model (even though it is a Dual core variant).

Those are not the newest Dell 5000 series laptops anymore. The newer versions have the 7th generation i5-7200u or i7-7500u. Also, I do not know why Amazon list it as being 1lbs in the laptop details. A 15.6" laptop weighing in a a mere 1lbs would be a world record and it would be extremely expensive. The Dell 5000 series weighs in at around 5lbs. Below is the link to the newest versions:

thanks for the information, do you know which of those is lighter ( not heavy) ? thanks, i am digging into the internet and they appear to be around 5lbs-ish but not sure. thanks

I don't know which one is the lighter of the two. However, touchscreen do add a little extra weight. Generally between 0.2lbs to 0.4lbs extra weight vs. the same laptop without a touchscreen.
