Which one of these two monitors should I get?

Hi there

I'm stuck between these two monitors, hope u guys can help me decide which one to buy.

The are both very similar 1080P monitors. I would probably go with the Asus.

The specs are virtually identical between the two. As the LG monitor is less expensive, I would just go with that one.

Yup, that's why I couldn't decide, they are identical. But what about the quality and the other features?

The relevant specifications were identical (size, refresh rate, brightness, and resolution).

The contrast ratio was a bit better on the Asus. The warranty is longer on the Asus as well (USA versions).

Manufacturers often exaggerate their specs, including contrast ratios. I would suspect that the monitor will perform the same, so this is why I suggested the LG.

My first question is what will you be doing on the monitor you get?

Good point, the best for gaming with fast pixel response, is not the same as a heavy Photoshop user that will value color accuracy.

That may be true, but in this case the relevant specs are the same. There is nothing to base a decision on. The only real differences are the brand and the price.

For me , Asus has a better reputation than LG. The contrast ratio and warranty were better with the Asus. If you can find them on display somewhere, you could base your choice on that.. But as mentioned the LG was a bit cheaper. If you can't decide , then flip a coin.

I have to agree with you. I would go with Asus for the bit of extra money cause Asus monitors in most cases are very good monitors, and LG while they are dependable too just don't seem to have the same quality in most cases.

Again to the OP, what is the intended use of the monitor cause that can determine what you get too as far as if it is one of these two monitors, or we may be able to suggest another monitor to you that will fit your needs better that may have a better price point too.
