so I am kind of puzzled and I don't know much when it comes to monitors but I currently have 2 options :

Lenovo y27q-20 (2k-165 fps - IPS-$560) or Lenovo g34w-10(34"-ultrawide-2k-VA-$506) and I guess I want to try gaming on an ultrawide bellow are links for a local retailer if anymore info is needed

The Lenovo g34w is the only ultrawide monitor.

I am sorry I didn't phrase my question properly
is gaming on an ultrawide actually good or should I put my money towards an IPS panel ?

I have an ultrawide. And I like it. It's not an IPS screen but I'm happy enough with it for video production.
An Ultrawide allows you to see more to the left and right than on a normal screen.
I think its spectacular with FS2020.

Go with Lenovo y27-q20 . This would be the best
