which one to buy?

Which one is better "5th generation i3 with intel HD graphics 5500" or "5th generation i5 with GeForce 820M(2 GB) " or "5th generation i5 with intel HD graphics 5500" for Gaming.
As intel HD 5500 was released in Q1 2015 as compared to GeForce 820M(2 GB) which was released in the end of 2013, but still it packs a lot of punch. So which one to go for?
System will have 8GB of ram and 120GB of SSD.

The i5/820M system is slightly better. The discrete GPU helps out, even if it's old (intel hasn't gotten decent GPUs on die until the iris pro graphics generation and HD5600)

Give Intel and AMD a couple more years and the entry level GPU will be a thing of the past. Replaced by on die solutions. Until then, stick with a discrete GPU for games.
