Hey guys,

I've built a gaming pc recently but its still missing the heart. Yea that's right, the graphics card. I've been looking at a lot of reviews here and on google, but none of them seem to answer my questions or gaming needs. As a result of which, I'm here for your professional opinion guys...

My budget is locked between these two cards.

I'm going to get a 21.5" monitor and wish to play games at 1080p resolution. (Arkham city, FIFA 13, Modern warfare series, Crysis 1, 2, 3, Battlefield, etc.)

Initially I was rooting for the gigabyte radeon 7870 which was costing around Rs. 17500 on the same website, but it was out of stock. So when it was back in stock, it costs Rs. 22400. That's a wicked increase and its out of my budget.

My old pc has a geforce 8600gt. I'm not biased towards either red or green. I just need to know which one is best for me based on the above preferences.

I have no intentions of SLI or Crossfire anytime in the near future. I read some good reviews about the 7850 power edition but I also found out that many people using it face problems due to bad drivers and that the monitor does not switch back on if it goes into screen saver mode. That really sucks! 🙁 I don't want to face such problems. I've also heard that amd still haven't fixed that issue. Please give me your suggestion and advise guys. I have no idea what physx or anti-aliasing does, etc.

Here's a list of my components in the pc:

M.B.: MSI Z77A GD65
Ram: Gskill ripjawsX 4gb x 2 1600mhz
CPU: intel core i5 3570k
Cooler: Cooler master hyper 212 evo
Case: Cooler master haf 912
PSU: Corsair TX 650 (650 watts)
HDD: WD caviar blue 500gb
ODD: HP dvd burner

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

660 is better but consider stepping up to the 7870/7870ghz or the 7870XT
