Good day!
I need help choosing a motherboard for my AMD A10-6800k. My best candidate so far is the MSI A78M-E35 which I read from this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/msi-a78m-e35-gigabyte-ga-f2a78m-d3h,4160.html review is not that bad at all. And luckily, local retailer sells them. My only problem is that my CPU is FM2, and this board is FM2+, I know its compatible but there is a note in it's specification page that says "Only FM2+ processors can support PCIe 3.0". I checked all other FM2+ motherboards, and they all have this note.
If I will buy a graphics card in the future, possibly R7-260x or along those line, do I need to upgrade first to a FM2+ CPU to use the PCIe 3.0 slot? I have never used a graphics card before.
If yes, then I'll choose another motherboard the has a PCIe 3.0 slot AND PCIe 2.0 slot that is readily compatible for my CPU. My options are:
Asus A68HM-K https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A68HMK
GA-F2A78M-HD2 http://www.gigabyte.ph/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4909#ov
Btw, this is for replacing my broken Gigabyte F2A75M-D3H motherboard.
Thank you in advance!
