Hey guys, I have an i3 3220. Please suggest me which GPU to buy with i3 3220. 2 Choices: RX 470 and GTX 1050 ti. I want to buy 1050 ti but RX 470 will be better than 1050 ti , but I'M Afraid that it will bottleneck severely with rx 470 and won't give as better Frame Rates as GTX 1050 ti.

So, GTX 1050 Ti+ i3 3220= better performance
OR..
RX 470 + i3 3220= better performance ?? Will it bottleneck with my i3 3220 and won't give as better frame rates as 1050 ti??? Should i go for it or 1050 ti??

Your Help Would Be Appreciated!

So a bottleneck is caused when a component is maxed out, while other components are not. In this case, your processor will be the component that is maxed out. I don't think your i3 will cause much of a bottleneck, it is a pretty solid processor, and should be able to keep pace with both of those GPU for the most part.

And a superior GPU will never cause lower frame rates. If you took a 470 with your processor and compared it to a 1080 with your processor, you would see very similar frame rates, because that is all your processor is able to put out. You won't see worse frame rates with the 1080 because of a bottleneck, you just won't see frame rates that are reflective of the 1080's potential.

Overall, RX 470 > GTX 1050 ti. I would go...
