Ok so I want to buy a graphic card but i dont know which one would be best between GTX 770 and 780. I want to go SLI with the 770 but not right away since im a bit low on money and i dont want to wait another 1-2 weeks.

I have 1 400$ for my ram, case, ssd, graphic card and my power supply. If i buy a 770 it will fit perfectly and i will need to pay like 50$ more but its ok I can get it easily but if the 780 is a lot better then i will need to wait 1-2 weeks.

What i want to know is, is it better to get an OC 770 and get another one later on to put them in SLI or get one 780. I have 2 monitors, one for gaming the other one for my stream and other stuff.

Solution
I've read an OC 770 can match 780 performance in 1080p gaming, so if i were you, i would get the 770, and 770 in SLI would be more powerful than a single 780

EDIT= I just read the 2 monitors part...hmm, in that case, if you REALLY must use the two of them, wait for the 780, and be sure it has good memory, 770 in SLI would be limited in video memory and that is exactly what you need

Ok thank for the fast answer, is there a better card than a 770 within the same price range other than nvidia? My CPU is an i7 4770k from intel. Should i get a 2gb or 4gb

The GTX 780 Really Blows the 770 away , But If you go SLI with two 770's , you will get better way better performance than a Single 780.
The GTX 770's Avg G3D Mark Score is 6208 and the GTX 780's G3D Mark Score is 8060.
Personally , even though two 770's will blow the 780 away , I will recommend you to wait and buy a Single 780.
Experts Like #Linus , also recommend single card solution , It's no harm If you go with two 770's , But I prefer you go with single 780.
Two Cards will produce more heat , consume more watts (Power) and make too much noise, but Give better performance.
Single card will run cooler , will produce less heat , barely audible , and consume less Power , occupy less space too.
Best Of Luck.

thank, but will it be too much? cause i have 2 monitors but i only play with one. Another quick question how much PW does it need. Like if i buy a 1200watt is it too much?

Sorry to butt in, but on what basis are you suggesting you need additional VRAM for a additional screens that you're not gaming on (i.e. NOT using eyefinity/surround)? I don't believe that to be the case.

I've just done some testing, I have 3x1200p screens. With a whole bunch of stuff open I had between 400-600MB VRAM usage. Disabling two of the screen dropped this to 300-400MB VRAM usage. Only 200MB difference at most.

FYI, Running a 1080p youtube video increased VRAM usage by ~75MB, a "source" twitch stream increased by ~125MB.

While the additional VRAM use isn't completely irrelevant, I don't think an additional ~200MB usage is worth spending up on more VRAM. Remember that I was going from 1 to 3 screens too.

I'm happy to directed to a source or something as I'm hardly claiming my 10 minutes of tinkering is definitive proof that additional screens have very little impact on VRAM... but that's my understanding which was confirmed from my testing.
Again, just to be clear, totally different story if you're gaming across additional screens.

OP... for 1080p I'd suggest 2GB is ample. If you want the option of 1440p down the track, it might be worth getting a 4GB card.
