Question Which OS should I use for both 12th Gen CPUs & 13th Gen CPUs?

Just wasn't sure which OS I should use for Intel's 12th & 13th Gen CPUs

Windows 10 LTSC x64

OR

Windows 11 22H2 x64

Win11 will be de-bloated (obviously, Including TPM 2.0, Microsoft Acc. Bypass, etc....) but after I found Win10-LTSC I now sit on the fence about which OS to use, I like both but I've been using Win10 for a long while I find it hard to accept Win11, Don't get me wrong once Windows 11 & 10 are debloated they run great, but the UI on Win11 is different and requires a little re-learning....

Plus I really don't use half of what Microsoft offers, I find all I really need is an updated OS (Security & Bug Fixes). No feature updates, Most of the new features are just trash anyways...

Again I'm unsure which route to go down.... advice would be helpful & great....

Does that appeal to you for some specific reason?? Is that a key requirement? Maybe so.

I'd guess most here would say "may as well" regarding Windows 11...........but I don't know why you would volunteer for dissatisfaction if you are set on stuff like "de-bloating" and would find 11 "hard to accept".

Why accept something that apparently has characteristics you don't like when it is apparently optional?

Since you are asking between the OS's, I Assume you really don't need to stick with Windows 10 LTSC anyway, so I'd have to vote for Windows 11, Yeah its got its issues, epically GUI issues or well not really issues just not practical in terms of productivity, I bought StartAllBack to fix my task bar and a few other things I didn't like, other than that they are pretty much the same, just no projected EOL , and better security.

Better off with a product that will at least be supported longer than 2025.

I don't see a massive difference between 10 & 11. I been saying that for 2 years now. Once I moved start to left, it just felt like windows to me. I don't spend any time in start menu anyway and now you can group icons in there, its more or less the same as 10 to me.

I was also poking at Windows 10 too, at least in it's early days in 2015 and current I wasn't a huge fan of how bloated both OS's were (both 10 & 11) + factoring in all of the inking and telemetry that was sent back to Microsoft, but I also don't like how I have to rely on 3rd party programs to "Fix" windows epecailly ones paid versions of those programs, why can't there be "Free" versions I don't want to stick my credit card # on some rando website...... Rather just look into free versions that can"Fix" windows.....

I've seen more than one free program that will allegedly "fix" Windows in one fashion or another, particularly as regards telemetry.

Maybe they don't meet your requirements.

You are in for a long haul if you are highly anxious about things like bloat, telemetry, Windows Update, unnecessary features, intrusion, tweaking, etc.

I suppose that's why you approve of LTSC.

Other possibly unacceptable alternatives include Linux, Apple, or assimilation by Microsoft.

I doubt Apple is any better... i mean, they lock hardware down, you can't access UEFI from an Apple PC. They treat users like idiots... which is fitting. You can't just install anything... its worse than WIndows S

Everything spies on you, gmail looks through your emails. Only way to keep data off them is to not put it on a PC.

Linux might be best choice but you have to learn everything again... main reason I haven't bothered

Personally I feel like I should run Windows 10, on both the 12th and 13th Gen i7s and i9s.... I get that there are benefits of running Windows 11 on Intel's 13th Gen CPUs aka i7 13700k & i9 13900k, But I feel like Windows 10 just seems to have a lot less bugs and errors when compared to Windows 11, Plus for that small-ish Performance gains, why bother with Windows 11 anyways? Windows 10 may be "old" but runs flawlessly...

Or maybe I'm just riding the nostalgia train with no intention of getting off? Will Windows 10 get a repeat of what happened with Windows XP? or no?

To be honest, Windows 11 isn't worth the upgrade to me.... It's only a year old with a very bad coat of paint, the UI/GUI is a mess + it takes time to re-learn everything, plus customizing Windows 11 is way harder than Windows 10. Another thing that sucks about Win11 is the TPM 2.0, Also why should I have use a Microsoft account? I'd rather use a Local account, oh The ads Win11 has are garbage....

Personally I'll ride the Windows 10 Train till the end of the line instead upgrading to Win11
