I am building a computer that need to last me through college (4 years) before upgrading. The main buts of my system build are the 8800GTX, Q6600 processor, and either 2GB DDR2-1066 or 4GB DDR2-800. I was convinced that SLi wasnt worth it and that I should go P35 instead of 680i, so I am looking for motherboard suggestions. My research showed these as the mainstream options:

-Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R
-MSI P35 Platinum
-Abit IP35 Pro
-Asus P5K/P5K3 Deluxe <--- A bit pricey, rather not...

Do any of these choices have a reputation for being a good OCer (novice OCer here)? Would any of these do better with my quad core because its newer or next generation? Any of these just have a reputation for being crappy? Comments?

Also, recommendations on which memory choice to go with would be nice but I am mainly concerned about my motherboard selection right now.

All I need to worry about is DDR2 because I dont see anything that justifies the price of DDR3 right now... and I'll probably never upgrade the memory.
