Solution
dual rank vs single rank..in syntetic benchmarks dual rank will win
you can also get some more extra ingame fps but that may be on few games...not every are bandwith/latency sensitive
dual rank is harder to overclock
if you setup bios ram settings correctly, system will be faster then with single rank (due to lower cpu stalls thanks to memory interleaving)
if you get 4 single rank modules, then theres no difference between 2 dual sided or 4 single sided, performance is same
HID Evoultion have confirmed they will work 100% WOuld the dual ranked sticks be slower then the single ranked sticks ?

I doubt you will see much of any real difference if it's just for gaming. There might be a 1-3% measurable difference in favor of the dual rank kit when benchmarking or possibly running memory sensitive workloads. This would depend on the memory controller and whether it sees much increase in performance between single and dual rank.

Since they have the same basic specs other than ranks, I wouldn't worry about which is faster and I would personally get whichever is cheaper since they're both supposedly compatible with the device.
