Hello everyone soon I will be building my own Gaming Pc but I am pretty unexperienced in this, and I have a low budget,so I have made a thread a week ago and I have a pretty good build now for my money.

My salary wasn't enough for the build so I have to wait until next month but since then I have found another build but as I said I am pretty unexperienced and I am not sure which build is better.
The cost should be under £600 and both builds are around £530.

The build I have found:
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/guide/xfmPxr/i5-4460-gtx-960-gaming-pc (roughly £535.00)

My build:
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Crasytom/saved/ (roughly £525.00 all-together)

Gpu:GeForce GTX 770 "Twin Fan Edition" 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (£149.99)

Psu:Xfx 550w Core Psu 50(£49.99)

The games I would play mostly is League of Legends,Half-life,Minecraft etc. if that matters.

Thanks for helping me out,I am kind of amateur in the Pc building world :) .

Solution
Top end of your budget but ultimately worth it IMO.
Stick with the 970 because for £150 its a better buy than a 960 .

First off, without even looking at the full build, I can already tell you the GTX 770 will demolish those games. If you are looking to play just those games, go with something cheaper such as a 750ti. In addition, the 550w PSU would be cutting it close with those parts. Hope that helps.

Building your own computer is easy. Building it takes 2-3 hours, and installing windows takes about 30mins to 45mins, and after that downloading and installing drivers takes another 30-45 mins. After all that, have it download windows updates at night, it may take a 2-4 passes to get them all.

Installing Windows:

Protip for installing drivers safely, install them one at a time and restart the computer after each install to avoid breaking the OS, which can happen if you try to install them all at once.

It's $20 over, but it's worth it. The CPU is amazing for LoL, HL and MC, and performs extremely well in most modern games.

If you want to save as much money as possible, and don't care about fancier modern games, than just downgrade the GPU to a gtx 950 which was specifically designed for MOBAs like LoL, to get the maximum performance at the lowest cost.

I will try to run modern games too, forgot to mention that.
But if the build isn't enough for that, then it's alright I will stay with the games I've written.
Still better than my current build which runs these games with a pretty low framerate.

Hey!
Thank you for your answer!
If it's possible to play modern games with this build then of course I am up for it:).
What I am unsure about is do I need that 4GB video card, isn't the 2GB enough?
The Cpu is i3 which I think is weak?
And you didn't included a "Wireless Network Adapter".
As I said I am pretty amateur sorry for these questions.
Waiting for your answer!
Edit: The build madmatt30 suggested looks much more promising, but again,I am unexperienced.

Thanks it looks promising !:)

Personally I'd go with an i5 haswell over a skylake i3 (the 6100 is a good chip but at the end of the day its no match for a true quad even on the older socket)

You can swap that 770 out for this 4gb 380 - performance is similar, its a tenner more but has double the vram
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9380p4df5

Keep an eye out on the 770/780 cards at overclockers , a few weeks back the 780 was down to £160 & was a true bargain.
Likewise keep an eye on super special deals at aria (these rarely show up on part picker)

This 960 4gb is probably also a better deal than the 770 (those cards were £130 a month back & refurbs with full warranty were going for £99 - you missed out unfortunately)

2GB is enough for 1080p, but not Ultra quality on the latest modern games. But for the games you listed it will max them out.
The i3 is vastly underestimated because everyone thinks more is better but doesn't realize that if something isn't being used it's pointless. Fallout 4 for example averages 55-65% usage of my i3-4130, and the 6100 is about 25% stronger than that.
In terms of hard raw power, i5s and i7s will dominate the i3s, but in real world performance, there is virtually no difference between them.

wifi: Didn't notice it on your custom build, you never mentioned it in the thread and the other build didn't have it. You can add it if you want.

Thanks it helped a lot :)
So you are saying I will be able to run modern games with that build on medium on 30fps?
Sorry for stupid questions :D

With the 970 current modern games @ ultra/high 60FPS, with the 950 current modern games @ ultra/high 45-50FPS. (averages) Down to medium settings on modern and future games and 60+FPS should be no issue for either. Most games have one or two graphics settings that need to turned off/scaled down because they greatly impact performance without significantly improving visuals, mainly shadows.

That explains a lot!
Last dumb question:do I need a sound card to have sound?I think this is obvious but I want to make sure.

:O I thought the motherboard is only for holding all the pieces together.
Thank you for your help,I think I am ready to start building my own pc soon.If you want I will post an update on it in about a month when it's ready.
Cheers
