Hey so im looking to get a new gaming pc but im unable to build one so that is completely off the table. I found two suprisingly good prebuilts with good specs, im just not sure which one would be better for playing all the newest AAA games on ultra; like pubg, bf1, rise of the tomb raider etc.
The systems are basically the same specs and price other than the cpu and gpu;

System 1

i7 7700
Gtx 1060 6gb
8gb ram

System 2

Ryzen 5 1400
Gtx 1070
8gb ram

thanks in advance, :)

The 7700 is plainly and simply a much better CPU, especially at gaming. However for the vast majority of games it won't matter. For a few it might. There is also the occasional glitch from gaming on AMD cpus, mostly addressed.

The other thing is how you are planning on gaming..
If it is 1080p on a standard 60hz monitor, then it won't matter which GPU you get.

If it is VR or a significantly faster refer rate (100hz or over) then the 1070 will be more important.
Also, if you...

Thanks for the reply! I was just worried that this system would get bad fps in cpu intensive games. What do you think?

Also, if you plan on 1440p, the 1060 will get it done in "most" games, but some games will require dropping a few settings lower to maintain a nice fast frame rate.
