Which pc to choose?

I wanna buy a used gaming pc for around 450-500 euros. I have narrowed it down to 2 pc's:

1) i5 skylake 6400, 8gb DDR4 and a 1050 gtx GPU.
2) i5 2400@3.1Ghz, 16gb ddr3, Msi GTX 970 4gb and a SSD 120gb.

The first one is a newer and has ddr4 but no ssd and a rather weak gpu. The second is older but has a very good gpu and a ssd. Which one should I get? I've heard mixed things about the 6400 due to its low frequency and weak single core performance, is the second built better, even if its older?

Hey thanks for the help, I bought the skylake system, got him down to 470 euros and he threw in a razer mouse, keyboard and speakers also.
