I would like to buy a powerful/gaming laptop but the brands in my country are very limited to Lenovo, hp, Asus, and Acer. I am not such a gamer (i am more into data and AI) but usually gaming laptops have good performance.
At first I spotted Lenovo l340 but as it gets older I decided to turn my interest to Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3i laptop as it is "cheap" compared to all the other laptop with i7I searched for reviews and some say that webcam isn't very good, the keyboard is crowded(??), low contrast display, lack of card reader and poor battery. I own a Lenovo 310 and as for the keyboard, it looks pretty the same. The problem is that I found out many variants and some others and I don't know which one I should get. I want to spend less than 1300 euros. Some people suggested me to go for the Lenovo brand.
I also read that nvidia 1650 ti consumes more power regarding battery? (I am not sure for that)
The three variants from three different stores are:

  1. (they wait for it from China). Intel Core i7-10750H 5.0GHz (6C / 12T, 2.6 / 5.0GHz, 12MB)
16GB (2x 8GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2933)
1TB SSD
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650
4GB GDDR6
price: 1249 euros
2.(in stock) Intel Core i7-10750H 5.0GHz (6C / 12T, 2.6 / 5.0GHz, 12MB)
16GB (2x 8GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2933)
512GB NVMe
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti
4GB GDDR6
price: 1239 euros
3.(in stock. tho it has a different region code 81Y400JMPB) Intel Core i7-10750H 5.0GHz (6C / 12T, 2.6 / 5.0GHz, 12MB)
8GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2933
512GB NVMe
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti
4GB GDDR6
price: 1068 euros
4. an hp with similar specs.
HP Pavilion Gaming 15-DK0021NV 15.6" (i7-9750H/8GB/512GB SSD/GTX 1660 6GB)
1199 euros
5. an hp with similar specs.
i7-10750H/16GB/512GB SSD/GeForce GTX 1650) 15-dk1005nv
1299 euros
6.MSI GF63 Thin 10SCSR-1007NL 15.6" (i7-10750H/8GB/512GB SSD/GTX 1650 MAX-Q) 1199€

I don't know why but I prefer the L340 design, but 3i still has a nice design. I want to get an i7 so it can last some years. Right now I am thinking of Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3i (the second option) but I am so confused.
I would really appreciate, If anyone could give me their opinion.
Thank you a lot.

Hey there,

That's a tough call. For the most part, I think the HP Pavillion with the GTX1660 6gb is going to better for higher FPS and games that can use more than 4gbs vram on the other GPU's.

I wouldn't take the MSIGF63 (although IMO - MSI make great laptops) because it has a max q version GPU which is slower than the mobile version and all the other GPU's.

In terms of CPU's there is very little difference between an I7 9750h and 10750h. In some metrics the 9750 beats the 10750h. In general terms though, the 10750h is about 5% faster.

The other factor is ram. The HP Pavillion only comes with 8gbs as do one of the others. This can hamper performance. In game stutters. So if you go for one with 8gbs, factor in getting a second 8gb to bring it to 16gb total.

Although the first one has a 1TB SSD, the GPU is on the lower end of the one's listed.

Yea the 1650 GPU on that laptop is on the lower-mid end side. It'll still power through current games @ medium settings.
If you can get the 1660 mobile version of it, I think the specs would be perfect.
