Hi

I wonder which processor is best to oc ( price / quality ) and the maximum oc.

e6320
e6420
e6550
e6750
e2180

greets and thx

Heh... For some reason I have this picture in my head of a honda civic red-lining at +8k RPM in 1st gear😛

But anywho for the cheapest/solid OC I would say maybe the E21xx series. All of them are under $90 and all of them (from what I've read) can reach 3Ghz if OC properly. Not to shabby. As far as max OC go I've read the E2180 go to about 3.7Ghz, but not suitable for 24/7 operation. But a nice 24/7 OC is almost guaranteed at 3Ghz.

That depends on what you mean by "best" Ocer.

If you want to go the highest speeds, like 3.6Ghz+, e6750 is what you need.

If you want the best OC relative to the stock speeds, the e2180 is your bet, capable of OC'ing 80% higher than stock.

This is where I would have said.. P4 641 Cedar Mill and just left it at that.

Or a Denmark Core Opteron.
