Which Processor is good for gmaing Intel or AMD

I am upgrading my PC in January and i am confused about what processor to buy
Intel i3 2120 or AMD FX 4100 or Intel Pentium g630?
I will play games like Ghost Recon Future Soldier
Hitman Absolution
Battlefield 3
I have intel Pentium E5200 and
ASUS En210 1GB DDR 3 Graphics Card
2GB RAM

And I will upgrade 4 gb ram
graphics card will be same
and also need advise for good am3 motherboard.

PLEASE ADVICE

The i3 2120 is the best out of those three, though none of them are particularly good. You'll need a WAY better graphics card for BF3/Hitman/Ghost Recon though.

Out of all of them the I3 is the best. If you go with Intel, and I would if the main purpose is gaming only, go with a Z77 motherboard. What is your budget for both the CPU and motherboard.

If he's running an i3 why should he pay a premium for Z77?

There's no point in going with Z77 if you're going to be running an i3 which you can't overclock. Even more so if you're running a single GPU.

I'd save your money. You could go with H61 and finish exactly the same but with more money in your pocket.

Paying for upgrade room isn't wise IMO when his next upgrade will probably be on a new socket.

There is no point in getting an H61 motherboard. There is a good chance H61 won't support Ivy Bridges out of the box and he may need a sandy bridge chip in order to get the system to POST so you can actually do a bios update to make the Ivy Bridge CPU work. The point is he would be bette off saving up a few extra bucks and get a proper motherboard.

He probably meant H77 or B75, both of which are great choices.

The 210 really old and you are going to have to get a new video card if you want to play BF3 and other modern settings at decent settings.
