Which processor to buy ??

im really interested in intel i7 4790k but i was thinking that if i wait for 5th gen cpus or 5820k will it be worth the wait??

Well that depends, how badly underpowered is your current system? Could you clinch your teeth and wait?

Because new tech is always good!

The 4790k just came out so im estimating that the 5th gen would come out on the end of the year, around november.
Now if your going to look at it performence wise the 5th gen is better.
But then again why would you need a cpu like that, if your gaming a i5 4th gen is all you need but if your multi-tasking,editing, or rendering then go with a i7.

nope theres as year between each refresh minimum also if you have an ivy bridge quad core already it would be a pointless upgrade to buy either unless tha 5th gen is on a smaller dye process.

ive got a mac with 2nd gen i5 dual core chip...so what do you guys recommend ?? and what are your thoughts on the 5820k..its said to have 6 cores and will have a price between the 300-350 dollar bracket ??
