https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/19996545 - This is my hardware atm. I just want a new processor but i dont know if a i5 7600k or i7 7700k would be better since they can run on my motherboard and 8th gen cant sadly.

If you dont want to click on the link here is my hardware anyways:
-Intel Core i3-7100
-Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB

-Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB
-Kingston KHX2133C14D4/8G 2x
-MotherBoard - - -> MSI H110M GAMING

Both are great CPU's, but the 7700k is the better of the 2. In some benchmarks they are close, so if you are able to get the 6700k for alot less, then you may want to go that route and put the savings into something else, (a 500GB SSD for instance to replace the 500GB WD Green) but if you had both in front of you, I'd take the 7700K. While the i3-7100 is still installed, make sure the Bios on your mobo will support the new CPU. The mobo might, but the Bios might be outdayed, so make sure before you pop out the i3, only to install the i5 or i7 and the system does not post due to an outdated bios.. lol..

You're in for a nice treat once you get either the i5 or i7 installed. Oh & I like the 1060 6GB. I have the same card. It's not the fastest by any means but dang if it's not the GPU that could!

Enjoy!

You should get the i7 7700K
simply because both newer games and many applications work much better with i7 than a 4core/4thread i5
Also in the future when you want to upgrade your gpu you will not have to upgrade the cpu as well
the older 4core/8thread i7 is still good for even the latest and most demanding games
