I have Ryzen 9 5900x and Msi Rx 6900xt Gaming Z Trio. Previously, I was using a 750w 80+ Gold PSU with these. However, I was using these monsters at their stock speed. Now I unlock them to get full performance also I'm upgrading some parts in my system and adding some new components. I will buy an 850w PSU with 80+ Gold specifications (Corsair Rm850x). Do you think this PSU will be enough or would it be better for me to buy a 1000w PSU?

System:
  • Ryzen 9 5900x
  • MSI Rx 6900xt Gaming Z Trio
  • Asus ROG x570 Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
  • G.Skill TridentZ Neo 4x16 32GB DDR4-3600MHz CL16
  • Corsair MP600 Pro SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0
  • Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD 500GB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 3.0
  • 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD SATA III 7200rpm 256MB
  • Corsair ICUE H150i ELITE LCD
  • 4M (Total 240 led) Argb Led Strip
  • Phanteks P500A DRGB (4x140mm DRGB fan)

Good quality 850w like that Corsair should be enough to power those parts, but it doesn't hurt to keep a little headroom if you want. OC doesn't need too much extra power over standard though.

Actually you're right, a high power psu wouldn't be bad (e.g. 1000w). But in my country there is an unbalanced price difference between 850w and 1000w (70 euro). Therefore, it would be more convenient for me to buy an 850w PSU. Thank you for the help.

First off, (proper) OC'ing of AMD Zen 3 CPU actually reduces the power draw. I.e by using the curve optimizer BIOS setting or using Project Hydra (CTR's evolution). So yeah, 850W is enough here. And Corsair RM-x is good for the right price.
