Which PSU should I get?

I was running a Corsair HX 750 with two GTX 980s. It burnt out the two 12V yellow wires on the 24 pin connector, so I need a new power supply.

I have looked the the tier-list, and was considering these:

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 Power Supply
EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2 Power Supply
Corsair Professional Series AX 1200 Watt Digital ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Platinum (AX1200i)

Would the 1000 watt be enough, even is I add a third card? Or should I get one of the 1200 watt ones? If so, which one?

You don't need this crazy amount of wattage for 2 GTX 980s ,

Did you contact corsair?

1000w is more than enough for 3 GTX 980s

What is the rest of your system?

Yellow wires are 12V wires, so you must have drawn too much amperage on the 12V rail and actually burnt them.
