Which PSU to get?

My Corsair CX600 just died today and I need a new PSU but don't know which one to get. Budget around 50-75 GBP by amazon.co.uk sites.

The CX I had for 2 years always made a weird noise, I'd prefer getting a PSU locally to get it asap but they are really limited here and I can only find VS or CX again.

I use dual monitors, 4x4GB RAM, GTX 460, and I have thought about SLI/crossfire in 2-4 years when my GPU needs upgrade.

What do you guys suggest? Any help appreciated!

I would suggest a Seasonic-built unit, such as XFX. The GTX460 is sufficiently old that SLI doesn't make a lot of sense when something like a GTX760 would be a better single-card choice.

Isn't the warranty for that PSU 3 years? Have it RMA'd if it is still under warranty.

^That Superflower is another excellent choice. They are one of very few companies (Delta and Flextronics are the others, imho) able to compete with Seasonic on quality.

Have the 800 myself.. for last 02 years without any problems...

XFX Core Pro 650W is 65, XFX Core Pro 750W is 72
Either one would do great.

The low-end Corsair PSUs are made by CWT, not Seasonic. The non-modular ones in particular contain some inferior Samxon capacitors that don't like heat and are known for early failure. Fine in office builds, I would not put one in a gamer.

Thanks a lot guys, I am looking over the ones you have listed. Is it worth getting more W than I need if it would last years longer? I'm thinking about investing a bigger one if it would worth it and hope it doesn't die like my current one, but I don't exactly buy top end components so it might not be needed?

More wattage doesn't mean that they will last longer.

It's a myth or fallacy.

More wattage just means that some people who SLI or cross fire have enough wattage to run powerfull machines.

That's why you even find bronze certified, silver certified and gold certified PSU's telling about efficiency of that particular PSU

You would be okay with a 600W PSU again and anything over that would be overkill again with no added benefit of lasting longer.

I wouldn't go any higher than 650W, and 550W would be comfortable unless you are certain you're going to use more than one graphics card or might get something really power-hungry like a GTX780Ti or R9-290X.

There is XFX CoreEdition 80+, 650W available nearby however it is not among the recommended ones here (Core Pro). Should I get it or are there far better choices?

All XFX PSUs are built by Seasonic, so that one would be safe also.
