Looking for a new PSU and got a little bit confused.
Recently I bought Cougar GX-S650, which looked like an awesome choice for its price (Tier 3 in the PSU Tier List) - but it died after 2 days (around 20 working hours). A faulty unit most likely, but quite a stressful experience.
So, the PSUs I’m considering for the replacement are (the budget is around 100$, the region is CIS, Kazakhstan):
Seasonic SS-600ES, 600W
Seasonic S12 II, 620W
BeQuiet, System Power 9, 600W
BeQuiet, Pure Power 10, 600W
My specs:
Motherboard: ASUS H97M-PLUS
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770
RAM: 16,0Gb Dual-Channel DDR3 at 665MHz
GPU: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Strix (ASUS) [no overclocking, but I may use MSI Afterburner to speed up the fans a little bit]
HDD: 1863Gb Seagate ST2000DM 001-1ER164 SCSI (SATA) [with possible connection of the second one of the same grade]
Monitor: DELL P2012H, LED, 20'' (1600x900 resolution)
Optical drive: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7260S SCSI
[PSU (current, the one I'm going to replace): HuntKey APFC 700W]
UPS: SVC V-1200-F (1200VA / 750W)
Other: Wi-Fi router, Xbox wireless controller; standard USB mouse and keyboard; sometimes I connect a hi-res TV screen with a HDMI cable
Will 600W really suffice (OuterVision PSU Calculator (on Expert Mode) gives me around 500W of recommended PSU Wattage)? Which one would you recommend (not necessary from the above-mentioned four)?
Thank you for the answers!
