Hello, i'm about to start an ethereum mining rig but i don't know for sure how many watts it needs to power that up.
The components are:
  • ryzen 3 1200
  • 6# rx 5700 xt from gigabyte
  • motherboard don't know that jet.
And some hdd storage with some fans.

Ty for replies

Solution
I recommend getting at least 1600W, 1800 would be better. An RX 5700 XT usually stays below the 225 W mark but can sometimes go up to 250 W in a spike. Still, taking an average power of 225 W, the GPUs will need 1350 W of total power, plus a 100 W for the remaining components and some margin, you need at least a 1600 W PSU.

if you do ethereum mining, i recommend to lower the power limit of your GPUs. they will reach a sweet spot in terms of hash/power needed.
like, -30% power limit

in windows, you can do that with the driver. In linux, you can do that with command lines when launching the miner. But they are better forums than this one to ask this question.
