I've been slowly picking out and ordering parts for my first desktop build and I'm having a bit of trouble deciding on what PSU to go for, I'd love some help on this as I definitely don't want to end up getting one that doesn't work well enough. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/pktQ8d this is the parts list (Canadian) Any help is extremely appreciated thank you!

In that case might as well go with the 550W 650W or 750W EVGA G2 units (make sure it's G2 and not GQ,G1, or NEX), can't tell you which though because the prices are very similar and any of those will work. If you plan on upgrading at some point, the 650W is a good bet, if not the 550W might save you a bit of cash through lower electrical bills (but only cents per month at most)

While I always recommend that unit, it's pretty clear OP's going for a budget build (total parts come in at ~$450), so that might be a bit of overkill. Certainly recommend it if OP plans on replacing the 280 with a 250W+ graphics card like the 390 or fury at a later date though.

Basically I'm willing to spend around $100, I just don't want something that's crap and dies on me within a week.

I might just go with that 650 or the 750 you recommended then! (depending on if I can afford to pay a bit more for it.) Thank you for the quick replies everyone!
