I'm building a new PC and am not quite sure which PSU would be alright for it.

The specs are

AMD FX 8350
Gigabyte 970A DS3P
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Zotac GTX 970

The thing is, I've already bought a PSU a month back and it's a Corsiar VS 550
I was considering a GTX 750ti at that time and the VS 550 was apparently enough.
Today I went to this place I'm gonna buy the parts from to get an estimate price of the whole thing and the representative there told me that I'll need a 650 Watt PSU.

Do I really need a 650 Watt PSU or will the VS500 get the job done?
I wont be running a liquid cooler and have already consulted a lot of the power supply calculators available online and all of their results were below 500

So should I just go get a VS 650 or stay with the VS 550?
If the VS 550 cant get the job done I can always go get the 650 later on.

Let me know if I missed out any components.

Solution
Do not even stay with VS power supplies. They are very low quality.

Get something like Seasonic S12ii 620, EVGA B2 750W (It's on sale for $65 right now) or any PSU from EVGA GS or G2 Series - high quality units.

Please, no. The G1 Series is the Gold NEX Series. You can get better for the same money. Once again, a PSU from the GS or G2 Series that will be much higher quality than the NEX.
