ok i plan on running

Opty 144 OCed to 2.5 Ghz
7600GT
1GB of RAM
2 ATA, 7200RPM HDD's
CD-R and DVD-RW/CD-RW drive
2 120mm fans 1 has LED's

i put it into a calculator thing but i dont trust those things, also which PSU would u recommend i will prolly add another 7600GT soon as i get the money, 7600GT's dont need external power so a non SLi certified PSU will be fine, or even a PSU that doent suppor SLi will be fine

I think 430W PSU should be plenty. If you want to play it safe you can go for a 500W.
I use a 430W Thermaltake, dual-fan. I love it cause it is whisper-quiet. You can't notice it.
If noise is something you care about that's the way to go. I have not had many, so I can't say it's the best, but for ~$40 I seriously doubt you can get any better than that.
If price is not an issue, then you may want to check one of those fancy ones with a matrix for power connections, so you can unplug all unused cables and minimize the clutter in your PC (and maximize airflow).

ok so 430 will be enough

I agree that 430 should be enough, but also check the efficiency ratting whic means how much energy is lost in the form of heat. if the rating is low, say 60% or lower, a 430 would loose quite a bit of energy to heat and may not be enough power for your system under stress.

A power supply with an "active" PFC is much better than one with a "passive" PFC.
