Which quiet/noise-dampening case?

Hi all,

As above really, I am looking for recommendations for a good quality quiet case. The Fractal Define R5 seems to have good reviews, but I'm just not a fan of how it looks - it's a bit boring (although I know the intent is to look minimal) and ideally I'd like something a bit more interesting/aggressive looking.

The only other criteria is that it needs a fan mount big enough to fit a GTX 980 Ti Hybrid radiator (which is 150mm x 120mm, I think...)

Any recommendations or thoughts welcome!

In general, flashy cases tend to be loud and quiet cases tend to be understated. You'll probably have to mod the case a bit to pull off what you want.

The NZXT H440 is a good case to start with if the looks suit you. You'll want to get a few sheets of this:

You should apply the damping material to all non-perforated metal parts of the case that don't have components mounted on them. This will take some work to measure out the cuts you'll need to make.

For best results, there are two types of places that the damping will make a difference. The first is in places that have line-of-site to noise sources (i.e. the damping can "see" a fan). The...
