Which R9 290?

Just like the title says I am wondering which is the best out of these.
(Also my build is a red and black theme so I would like a black and red color)

Well, I've heard great things about the vapor-x and it's going to be the best, but worth $80 more, that's up to you.

Since you want something to match your computer I would get the Asus one. The Direct CU II are known for being quiet.

Go for the MSI card - they're better to over clock and have awesome cooling

Uh, I recently had asked myself the same question, I got a gigabyte 290 for a friend and a msi 290 twin frozr for myself. My MSI 290 gets really loud and goes over 90 degrees at stock settings. His is also loud but doesn't sound as bad. I can't get a refund or replacement and it really sucks. I'd say spend extra on a 780 and save yourself the trouble, unless you don't mind lots of noise, heat and power consumption. So disappointed with both of the cards. Your experience my vary but I trusted reviews, Toms recommendations and I regret it, a LOT.

I don't think the 780 will be any less noisy.

I'm not sure $80-100 more for the 780 is worth 5-8 decibels less, but that's up to you

Yeah same here, but then again I have a quiet case; antec sonata II 😛

I am going to go with the Vapor-x.
When I want to sli I will get a GTX 880 which is supposed to come out soon.
The vapor-x's only issue was it took up 3 slots so crossfire was a bit hard.
