Hi
I am thinking of adding a Raid 0 to my Asus P4C800-e deluxe and it has two
raid controllers, a Promise and a Intel.
Which would be the best?
Thanks
Ken'

Ken,
I would start with the Intel first if you have SATA drives. The Intel Raid
uses the ICH5R chip directly where as the
Promise chip uses the PCI bus which would compete with all other PCI
operations. If you don't use thePromise chip you can disable it in BIOS.

Rich
Thanks, that what I thought.
I am thinking of two WD Raptors in a raid 0 array.
Have to win the lottery or some such thing.
Thanks again

Ken;

Are you sure you want Raid 0? It might not help your performance at all.

Thanks for the interesting read. Perhaps I will have to reconsider.
Thanks again
