Which ram is best for Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7 mobo?

Hi guys,

I'm a noob on ram, so please forgive me. :)

I'm a gamer and I want a fast gaming Pc.

I've preordered the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7 mobo (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3646#ov). This mobo is for the new Sandy Bridge CPUs.

I want 2x4 GB ram modules, but I have no idea what to choose. I've heard something about Kingston making ram called Genesis which should be optimized for Sandy Bridge.

I have no idea what ram to choose - can you help me out?

Most i5/P55 RAM will work fine, and the "Sandy Bridge" RAM just means it's Rated for speeds >2000 MHz e.g. 2133 MHz http://gskill.com/news.php?index=401

Since there aren't any 2133 MHz 2X4GB kits available yet, I would look at the G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 2200 (PC3 17600) Model F3-17600CL9D-8GBXLD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231437 which you'll need to under-clock just a little; 2133 vs 2200 MHz which is fine to do.

To male yourself at peace, simple run a Ticket to G.SKILL, Corsair or whomever RAM you like. I agree with the QVL but some of that RAM isn't available or...

BTW - any speeds <2133 MHz will work fine, and the differences between 1600 MHz and 2133 MHz is about 2~3% depending primarily on the RAM IC used.
